Description
Gigaopto’s GTS-L1585-40DC optical transceiver is a dual fiber 8.5Gbps SFP+ module designed for use in Data Center 8G Fibre Channel Storage Network. It provides 8Gb/s throughput up to 40km over single-mode fiber (SMF) using 1550nm wavelength.
The transmitter section incorporates a reliable 1550nm cooled EML laser. And the receiver section consists of a PIN photodiode integrated with a TIA. All modules satisfy class I laser safety requirements.
This transceiver is fully compliant with SFP+ Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and FCIA FC-PI-4 800-SM-LC-L standard.
Digital diagnostics functions are available via a 2-wire serial interface, as specified in SFF-8472, which allows real-time access to device operating parameters such as transceiver temperature, laser bias current, transmitted optical power, received optical power and transceiver supply voltage.
