Description

 

Gigaopto’s 8GFC Longwave SFP+ transceivers are designed for use in Fiber Channel throughout 8.5Gbps link up to 10km over MMF with duplex LC connector.

The 8GFC LW transceiver consists of three sections: a DFB laser transmitter, a PIN photodiode integrated with a trans-impedance preamplifier (TIA) and MCU control unit. All modules satisfy class I laser safety requirements.

They are compliant with FCPI-4 Rev. 8.00 and SFF-8472 Rev 10.2 and compatible with SFF-8431.

Digital diagnostics functions are available via a 2-wire serial interface,as specified in SFF-8472, which allows real-time access to device operating parameters such as transceiver temperature, laser bias current, transmitted optical power, received optical power and transceiver supply voltage.

The optical transceiver is RoHS compliant and CE/FCC certificated.
