Description
Gigaopto’s GTS-L1530-40DCTN 3G SMPTE SFP Single TX Transmitter Module is designed for 1-channel video transmission applications over 40km transmission on single-mode fiber via 1550nm Wavelength with a simplex LC connector. It supports the data rates from 50Mb/s to 2.97Gb/s. This transmitter is specifically designed for robust performance in the presence of SDI pathological patterns for SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 344M,SMPTE 292M and SMPTE 424M serial rates.
This transmitter consists of two sections: a DFB laser transmitter and MCU control unit. All modules satisfy class I laser safety requirements.

PIN Definition
Note: Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers short for SMPTE has standards for handling high definition video signals with pathological pattern. SMPTE's standards currently call for 259M (SD-SDI), 344M (ED-SDI), 292M (HD-SDI) and 424M (3G-SDI).
SMPTE 297-2006: This standard defines the fiber optic interface for the transmission and reception of SDI signals at various data rates: 3G ~ 12G
SMPTE 259M: 143 through 360 Mb/s
SMPTE 344M: 540 Mb/s
SMPTE 292: 1.485 and 1.485/1.001 Gb/s
SMPTE 424M: 2.97 and 2.97/1.001 Gb/s
These bit-rates are sufficient for 1080p video at 50 or 60 frames per second.
