The Cisco GLC-BX80-UA compatible Gigabit Transceiver operates at 1000BASE-BX with a wavelength of Tx1490nm/Rx1550nm and a maximum reach can reach up to 80km over single-mode fiber (SMF) via LC simplex connectors. The transmitter section uses a class 1 laser compliant according to International Safety Standard IEC 60825. The receiver section uses an integrated B type/A type detector preamplifier (IDP) mounted in an optical header and a limiting post-amplifier IC.
This Cisco GLC-BX80-UA compatible Gigabit Transceiver has been programmed and strictly tested in the factory to ensure it works with Cisco network switches, routers, firewalls, security gateway, fiber media converter, servers, NAS, accelerator card, network adapters, and interface card (NICs).
