Description
This 10G BiDi eLR single mode transceiver is a small form factor pluggable module for bi-directional serial optical data communications. It features a multiple quantum well 1330nm DFB Laser and 1270nm PIN photo-detector receiver into a simplex LC connector, designed to transmit and receive serial optical data over OS2 SMF with 20km, and compliant with SFF-8431, SFF-8432 and the IEEE 802.3ae standard.
It is with the SFP 20-pin connector to allow hot-plug capability. Digital diagnostics functions are available via a 2-wire serial interface, as specified in SFF-8472, which provides real-time monitoring of the transceiver temperature, laser bias current, optical power, received optical power and transceiver supply voltage. All transceivers are Class 1 laser products that comply with FDA/CDRH and IEC-60825 standards.
Built with hardened components, this bidirectional transceiver is ruggedly designed to withstand extended industrial temperatures from -40°C to 85°C. It is suitable for enterprise wiring closets, service provider transport applications, Radio & Baseband Units, etc.
Each 10G Bidi eLR transceiver is tested in targeted switch for superior performance, compatibility and reliability before shipping.
